Freida Ann (Anderson) Freisberg passed away peacefully on Friday May 13 after a 5-year battle with cancer. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 20th, 2022 at 10am at Sunnyside cemetery. Rosary will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, at 6pm. Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Center of Kansas and can be left with Potts Chapel of Caney.
Freida was born on September 6, 1938, to Lena and Owen Anderson in Hugoton, Kansas. Her childhood was spent on a farm outside of Hugoton Kansas with her siblings, Eddie, Christine, Wanda and Vernon.
She attended schools in Hugoton and graduated from Hugoton Kansas in 1956. Soon after graduation she married Robert Moorehead from Hugoton. He went into the Army, and she attended college in Tennessee and studied music. Freida and Robert were married briefly and divorced.
She was living in Liberal Kansas with her two daughters Robin and Jan, when she met Ed Freisberg and his two daughters Terrie and Joan. Ed and Freida were married on April 30, 1970.
For fifty-two wonderful years they enjoyed adventures and made memories in Kansas and Wyoming- camping, hunting and snowmobiling.
Freida was a wonderful, kind, compassionate person. She was modest about her talents of musical ability, singing, sewing and crafting.
She would always encourage and support family and friends in times of need. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Survivors include- husband Ed Freisberg of Caney Ks, daughters Terrie Whittington of Enis Montana, Joan Kane of Bartlesville Ok, Jan Stokes of Riverton, Wy., seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by daughter Robin Rowe, grandson Darren Rowe and son in law Paul Blackburn.
