Wilma Maxine Davidson, 86, of rural Havana passed away peacefully on October 15, 2020 in her home. She was born on February 15, 1934 southwest of Havana to Elmer D. and Mildred (Davis) Shearhart.
She attended Eli and Rutland grade schools graduating from Wayside High School and Coffeyville Community College. She also spent one summer at Laramie College in Wyoming. She was an elementary teacher for 3 years at Tyro Grade School. On December 28, 1954, she married Don Davidson in Coffeyville, KS. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1991. She was a member of the Wayside Christian Church, living her life for her family and Savior.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don Davidson, brothers, Elmer Dale and Gary Shearhart, and grandsons, Matthew Amory McDaniel and Jared Kyler.
Those left to cherish her memory include, daughters, Cheryle (Steve) Burris of Havana, KS, Carol (Marshall) McDaniel of Dewey, OK, sons, Jerry (Karen) Davidson of Coffeyville, KS Larry (Donna) Davidson of Caney, KS, John Davidson of Ola, AR, brother, Doyle “Ed” Shearhart of Wichita, KS, sister in-law, Marylee Shearhart, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren with one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family has requested a memorial donation be made in Wilma’s name to the Wayside Christian Church. Visitation will be held at Potts Chapel in Caney, KS on Monday, October 19th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place at Wayside Christian Church in Wayside, KS on Tuesday, October 20th at 11:00 am with interment immediately following at Havana Cemetery.
