Wanda Mcdaniel

Wanda June McDaniel, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Caney, Kansas on February 14th. Arrangements are entrusted with Potts Chapel of Caney. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 25th at the Cornerstone Church in Caney at 1:00pm.

Wanda was born August 24, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lester and Margaret Meadows. She was raised in California and on February 2, 1974 married the love of her life, Billie LeRoy McDaniel.  Together they raised six children.  She was a proud and loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Wanda was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Folsom, CA.  Roy and Wanda retired and moved to Caney, KS in 1998.  She was a proud member of Cornerstone Christian Church of Caney.

Wanda was a godly woman, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Her favorite verse was Isaiah 40:31... “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.  They will soar high on wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
