Vernon “Art” Arthur Mishler, 71 of Caney, Kansas passed away at his home with his loving wife, Mary by his side on Thursday, June 25, 2020.
Art was born on February 8, 1949 in Independence, Kansas to Melvard Vernon and Pearl M. (Carr) Mishler. He graduated from Independence High School in 1967. On September 25, 1967, Art enlisted in the United States Air Force. Art proudly served his country until November 14, 1969, when he was honorably discharged. In September of 1983, Art married Mary Gulick in Neodesha, Kansas. Art worked for many years at Spears Manufacturing. He loved to fish, play solitaire, and play on his computer.
Art is preceded in death by his parents, Melvard Vernon and Pearl M. Mishler, brother Billy Mishler, and grandparents and several uncles.
His memory will carry on with his wife, Mary Mishler, sister, Donna Zehring, aunts, Liz Glaslow, and Marie Sweeniee, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
