Shandy Lyn Cales, a woman of deep faith and unwavering dedication to her beliefs, has passed away on January 16, 2024, in Mckinney, Texas. She was born on November 15, 1969, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Jimmie Rowland and Phyllis Adams. Shandy's life journey was one filled with love for her fellow humans and an unending passion for spreading the word of God.

She attended Oral Roberts University where she cultivated her talents and embarked on a path of becoming a Christian Life Coach. Through her education and experiences, Shandy developed the ability to guide and support those seeking solace and spiritual clarity.

One of Shandy's most remarkable characteristics was her love for the church. Her unwavering commitment to her religious community gave her immense joy and fulfillment. It was within the walls of the sanctuary that Shandy truly shone brightest, serving as an embodiment of devoutness and compassion. She had an innate ability to share the teachings of Jesus Christ with anyone who crossed her path.

Shandy's voice echoed through the halls of various churches she shared her heavenly talent for singing. With every note that escaped her lips, stirred souls and touched hearts. Singing became not only a hobby but also a way for Shandy to express her devotion to her spirituality. The harmonies she created will indefinitely resound in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to hear them. Beyond her spiritual pursuits, Shandy found joy in indulging in another passion traveling with friends and family.

She had a career of helping others. She worked her career as an optician at 25 years before retiring. Upon retirement she was called to become the children's director at Anna Christian Fellowship in Anna, Texas

Those left to carry on her memory are her parents, husband, Steve Cales, sons Kian and Kobe Shelton, daughter Faith Cales, sister Carrie Standridge, nephew Logan Standridge, niece Kaylee Payne, and great nephew Bryan Standridge.

She is preceded in death by her wonderful grandparents, Reverend Lee and Norma Adams, and R.E. and A. Barbara Rowland among others.

On January 22, 2024, friends and loved ones will gather to pay their respects to Shandy during a Visitation event. The solemn occasion will take place at Potts Chapel on 107 N State St, Caney, Kansas. The Visitation will commence at 5:00 PM and conclude at 7:00 PM, allowing those who knew Shandy to reflect on the impact she had on their lives.

The following day, January 23, 2024, a Memorial Service will be held at Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Starting at 10:00 AM, the ceremony will allow friends and family to come together and commemorate the life of Shandy. The service will provide an opportunity for everyone present to share anecdotes and memories that will forever immortalize her kind spirit.

Shandy Lyn Cales has left a void in the hearts of those who were touched by her divine presence. Her unwavering connection to her faith and her desire to spread love and compassion set her apart as a beacon of hope in a sometimes dark world. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, may we carry forward the lessons she imparted with grace and continue to emulate her unwavering devotion to our fellow human beings.
