Pamela S. Bellmyer, a beloved daughter, mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on April 16, 2026, in Coffeyville, Kansas, at the age of 68. Born on January 2, 1958, in Caney, Kansas, Pamela's journey began in the heart of her community, where she embraced life with an open heart and a compassionate spirit.
A proud graduate of Caney Valley High School, Pamela completed her education in 1976, later pursuing a fulfilling career as a phlebotomist. She dedicated many years of her life to serving others at Jane Phillips Medical Center and Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, where her gentle demeanor and competence never failed to bring comfort to those in her care.
Pamela had an enduring love for animals; she spent many joyful hours riding horses and caring for her beloved pet monkey. This affection for creatures great and small mirrored her tender heart and her ability to connect with those around her. She was known for her contagious laughter, a sound that will forever echo in the hearts of her loved ones.
Family and friends remember Pamela as a compassionate and caring individual, always just a phone call away. She was known for being a shoulder to lean on, an attentive listener, and someone who could offer comfort in difficult times. Pamela's deep faith in God inspired those around her and was an important part of her identity.
Pamela is survived by her daughters, Gillian (John) Beaumont of Longton, KS, and Kristin Thomison of Coffeyville, KS, her brothers, Anthony (Jeannette) Bellmyer of Caney, KS, and Jim (Jamie) Wilson of Dewey, OK, sister, Vicky Moberly of Independence, KS, Aunt, Judy Herard, Cousin, Felicia (Paul) Wallace, and grandchildren, Gentry Bachman, Abel Beaumont, Everlee Beaumont, Jenelle Bellmyer, and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held in remembrance of Pamela on April 30, 2026, at Potts Chapel in Caney, KS, from 1 to 2pm, providing family and friends the opportunity to come together in celebration of her life. As we gather to reflect on the beauty of her spirit and the warmth she brought to our lives, we invite all who knew and loved her to share their stories and memories, ensuring that Pamela's legacy of kindness and compassion lives on.
In this time of sorrow, let us find solace in knowing that Pamela S. Bellmyer's light will continue to shine through the lives she touched. Her memory will remain a cherished gift in our hearts forever.
Pamela was preceded in death by parents, AJ Bellmyer, Diana Wilson and grandparents, Fern and Mack Chastain, cousin, Luther Ray Herard, and aunt, Shirley Owen.
