Nathan E. Weisshaar, 42 has gone to Heaven to join his mother, Kathy (Williams) Hart, after passing unexpectedly in his home on September 16, 2021.
Nathan was born July 5, 1979 in Caney, Kansas to Bob Weisshaar and Kathy (Williams) Hart. Nathan attended Caney schools, graduating in 1997 from Caney Valley High School. Nathan was a member of Class LTD for 28 years. After graduation from high school, he attended Class LTD day services and received residential care until his passing. He enjoyed his part time job at Coffeyville Feed and Farm Supply which he had for 18 years.
Nathan was respectful and polite, and was known for his beautiful smile and excellent memory. He didn’t know a stranger, once he learned your name, he never forgot it. He loved talking to people and socializing. He always knew the correct day and date and would always tell the people he encountered. He loved to eat out, especially enjoyed going to Sonic, Eggberts, McDonalds and Pizza Hut. He attended and participated in all the activities provided by Buddy Ball throughout his life. He remembered almost all of the many staff who worked with him and as one of the names would come to him, he would say, “I miss mother”. Another favorite saying of Nathan’s was “I’ll be good to Susan”.
Nathan loved spending time with his mom on her days off from work. After she passed, he enjoyed spending his weekends with his grandma and grandpa, going to Walmart to shop. He would always get a candy bar and pop before leaving. He enjoyed watching wrestling on TV and had been to some live matches. Nathan loved his pop every night. Pepsi was his favorite.
He is preceded in death by his mother Kathy Ann (Williams) Hart and his aunts, Mary Beth (Williams) Doye and Faith Ann Alston.
Nathan is survived by his grandparents, Dennis and Mary Alston, his Aunt, Ruth Ann (Williams) Danielson and several cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel and a graveside service will take place at Havana Cemetery on Saturday, October 2nd at 10:00 am.
