Lyle Elmer Dozier

Lyle Elmer Dozier, age 78, died in his home, in Havana, Kansas on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. 

Lyle was born July 28, 1945 to Elmer and Arzella Dozier and Hepler, Kansas. Lyle enjoyed raising his kids and watching his grandkids grow. He never met a stranger and helped anyone and everyone he crossed paths with. He was loved by many. 

Lyle was proceeded in death by his wife, Georgette Dozier; his parents, Elmer and Arzella Dozier; brothers, Richard Dozier, Steve Dozier, and William Dozier; sister, Twila Dozier, and son, Richard Dozier. 

Survivors include daughter Kristi (Brad)Melton; sons, Charles, David, Mike (Madison) Blake; brother, David, (Jeanie) Dozier; sister, Etta Mae;  grandchildren, Vanessa (Jeremy) Woll, Isaiah and Brittany Blake, Kierra, Kylee, Oliver, and George Blake; great grandchildren, nephew, Douglas Dozier; nieces Arzella Counsil, Laura Dunn, Dawn Winn, Ginger Laker, and Kelly Turner; and countless family members (both blood and might as well be blood related), and friends.

Anyone that knows our Dad will know that he used humor and sarcasm to get through life so this one is for you Dad. Dad peacefully passed away in his home with his dogs the way his stubborn butt wanted. You will always be with us in our hearts and minds. 

Following Lyle’s wishes cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel and the family will hold a Celebration of Lyle’s life at a later date.
