John M. Hollandsworth was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 20, 2018
John was born and raised in Copan, OK to Bert T. and Mabel B. (Baker) Hollandsworth, who proceeded him in death. He had two sisters and one brother, Betty Jackson and Danny Ray Hollandsworth, who both proceeded him in death; and Carolyn Anderson who lives in Copan, OK.
John attended school and graduated from Copan High School. He married Virginia L. Van from Caney, KS. They were married for 64 years from March 15, 1954 till his death. John was an oil field employee for 15 years in service for Leo Cook and later was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. as a supervisor over the Maintenance Department and retired with 22 years of service.
The past three years John and Virginia made their home in Caney, KS. The surviving family are: one son, Danny and Bessie Hollandsworth of Ochelata, OK., Four daughters: Rita Starr of Tulsa, OK., Lisa and Danny Clopp of Cherryvale, KS, Anita and David Miller of Havana, KS., and Lori Roper of Bartlesville, OK., 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
