John Carter

John Charles Carter, 71, of Caney, Kansas passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 7, 2018. At the request of the family, cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.
John was born on October 8, 1946 in Caney, Kansas to Joe Curtis and Charlesa Marie (Glasko) Carter. John attended elementary school in Cotton Valley, OK and Niotaze, KS. He attended and graduated from Caney Valley High School then attended Coffeyville Community College Trade School. John worked as a ranch hand on the family farm helping with the cattle and everyday farming. John then worked as an auto body technician where he honed his skill as a master body and paint specialist. John married Susan Gober in 1968 and welcomed a son, Justin, the two later divorced. John then married Vivian Elizabeth Ford in Coffeyville and had a son, John Charles (JC) and daughter Brandy, and later divorced.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Charlesa (Glasko) Carter, and sons, Justin Heath Carter, and John Charles Carter Jr.
Survivors include, daughter, Brandy and husband Mike Conard, grandchildren, Victoria O'Shields, Destiny Conard, Dustyn Conard, Breeanna Conard, and Cody Conard, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Conard, and Michael Conard.
