Heath Joseph Ellis, born on June 4, 2004, passed away on October 28, 2025. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel. Family will be having a memorial service at Tyro Christian Church, 301 S Market St, Tyro, KS 67364, November 2, 2025, at 3:00PM. A young man of remarkable character and deep faith, Heath was not only a dedicated follower of Christ but also a loving son, brother, friend, and natural born leader. His diverse career path illustrated his willingness to serve others in multiple capacities.
Heath was a proud high school graduate who passionately accepted his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As an avid Christian follower, he devoted much of his time leading others to Christ and setting up Bible studies with high school students and co-workers alike. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, influencing all who knew him. With a warm smile and a generous spirit, Heath was known for his ability to connect with everyone he met, living the true meaning of never meeting a stranger. He was full of unconditional love, compassion, and kindness. He was so passionate about everything in life, no matter how small. He was effortlessly funny, lighting up everyone and everything in the room he walked into. He loved seeing people smile. He made every memory worth reliving a thousand times.
A Coca-Cola enthusiast and self-proclaimed milk connoisseur, Heath possessed an infectious love for life. His exuberance was reflected in his many hobbies, including landing impressive tricks on his BMX bike and engaging in humorous antics that kept his family and friends entertained. He was not only a natural leader but also a great role model, known for his unwavering support and guidance to those around him.
Heath's proudest accomplishments include receiving Christ and his loving relationship with his fiancé, Virginia Landtroop, who he cherished deeply. He also excelled as a three-time state qualifier in wrestling and was recognized as an all-around athlete, demonstrating not only physical prowess but also a tenacious spirit. He was proud to be working with children who needed his help. He wasn't half hearted in anything he was a part of. He was devoted and he loved deeply.
Heath is survived by the love of his life Virginia Landtroop, his loving parents, Steven and Erin Ellis, and his devoted brothers, Cole, Jake, Jess, Seth, and Tuff Ellis. His legacy of kindness, faith, and leadership will undoubtedly be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Heath is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Caroline Sue Ellis, and grandfathers, Mose Alvin Ellis and James Robert Mills. His spirit and the positive impact he had on countless lives will continue to resonate in the hearts of family and friends, reminding us all of the light he brought into the world.
