Fredrick Freisberg

January 8, 1936 — April 2, 2018

Fredrick Paul Freisberg, of Broken Arrow, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caney, Kansas at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4th, 1:00-7:00pm, with family greeting friends 5:00-7:00pm at the Potts Chapel in Caney. Memorials are suggested to the Macular Degeneration Association or to the Alzheimer's Association.
Fredrick was born on January 8, 1936 in Petrolea, Kansas. He was the son of Jacob and Marie (Ensmein) Freisberg. He grew up in Caney, Kansas and graduated from Caney High School. He then graduated from Pittsburg State University with an Industrial Arts Degree. Fred taught Industrial Arts at the Caney High School for several years. Then he worked for the City Service out of Oklahoma City before going on to be the Director of Gas Operations for Williams Natural Gas, where he retired. Fred married Delores (Stockwell). Together they raised four children. Fred enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Delores, two daughters: Debra Steele and Paula Elllis both of Lawrence, KS, two sons: Steve Freisberg of Broken Arrow, OK and Mike Freisberg of Eudora, KS, brother Butch Freisberg, sister JoAnn Dancer both of Caney, KS, seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
