Floretta "Flo" Mae Lloyd, a beloved presence to many, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 30, 1946, in Russell, Kansas, Flo embraced life with a warmth and spirit that endeared her to everyone she encountered. Known as "Flo" to those close to her, she never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for striking up conversations that could light up any room.
Flo dedicated her career to serving others in customer service within the pharmaceutical industry, where her caring personality shone through and made a difference in the lives of those she assisted. Outside of work, she found joy in various hobbies, from the thrill of playing bingo and spending time at the casino to the serenity of travel when possible and the joy of listening to bluegrass music. Her adventurous spirit and playful nature were contagious.
Flo is survived by her loving children, Wesley Lloyd and wife Sherrie of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; Debra Sanders of Copan, Oklahoma; and Travis Lloyd and wife Starla of Caney, Kansas. She was a proud grandmother to Larin Lloyd and wife Kara, Bonda Doheny and husband Ron, Larisa Pack and husband Justin, and Samuel Lloyd. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Brycen Frank, Joshlynn Frank, Gracie Doheny, Emilia Doheny, Laityn Lloyd, Kaederay Lloyd, Clara Lloyd, and Zac Pack and wife Summer. Also, her brothers, Tom Casey and Robert Casey.
Flo's heart was equally touched by those she lost. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Garland Lloyd, whose presence she greatly missed. She also mourned her parents, John and Pearl Casey; her grandchildren, Brock Sanders, Trevor Lloyd, and Tonnie Lloyd; her brother, Gomer Casey; and her sister, Charlotte Jones. Each of them held a special place in her life, and their memories will continue to inspire those who cherish her spirit.
Flo leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love—a permanent imprint on the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. Her spirit will forever resonate through the stories shared, the laughter cherished, and the endless love that binds her family and friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
