Bobby Lee Levan, 85, of Caney, Kansas passed away in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, on Saturday, June 18, 2022, after a sudden illness.
He was born to Paul (Gene) Levan & Marie (Gray) Levan on June 2, 1937, in Coldspring, Missouri. He attended Springfield schools and graduated in 1956.
He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1959 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
On January 13, 1960, he married Bonnie McCammon in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They made their home in Caney, Kansas. Bobby and Bonnie were married for 50 years before her death in 2010.
Bobby worked various jobs in the Bartlesville/Dewey, Oklahoma area until he joined the City of Bartlesville as a heavy equipment operator for the street department. He retired after 36 years of service with the City of Bartlesville.
Hobbies/interests included traveling with his wife, tinkering with bicycles, mowers, and cars, and enjoying the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters: Terri (Holeman) & husband Bill, Caney, Kansas, Tracy Coquillette, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Kristi (Matthews) & husband Scott, Decatur, Indiana; brother Gary Levan & wife Barbara, Overland Park, Kansas, and sister Jane Paschia & husband E.J., Desoto, Missouri.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Will Holeman, Caney, Kansas, Jessica (Davis) & husband Thomas, Chautauqua, Kansas, Tyler Garton, Caney, Kansas, Jordan Garton & wife Breonna, Riverview, Florida, Sam Coquillette, Caney, Kansas, Sage Coquillette, Caney, Kansas, Brock Brown, Ottawa, Kansas, Jade Brown, Yukon, Oklahoma; and six great-grandchildren: Tucker Garton, Traxcyn Garton, Tynlee Garton, Brayden Garton, Amaya Garton, and Ellie Brown, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, parents, grandson Tim Garton, sister Betty Lowery & husband Dody, brothers-in-law James Sutton, Howard McCammon, Byrle McCammon & Bennie McCammon.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Potts Chapel, Caney, Kansas. The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, June 24, 11:00 A.M. at Potts Chapel, Caney, Kansas. Burial will follow the service at Sunnyside Cemetery, Caney, Kansas.
